  • Assumptions, Cancellations & Roots

Sometimes people make assumptions on how they presume things to be.
No one asks how they really are.
    They just assume.

    I got canceled on tonight.
That's what I get for trying to make friends... :-

I am really looking forward to next week.
I miss everyone in TX so much.
I miss people that know me and get me.
    I miss roots.

I need sleep like you wouldn't believe.

Sorry this post is kind of down.
It is what is for real for me for right now.

  • A Cause For Some Serious Celebration

Bought some Christmas presents this weekend.
    I can't wait to see some people's faces. ;)

Leaving for TX on Saturday! :D

    Church was awesome today.
Just what we both needed to hear.

    Baby Back Ribs for lunch.
    Oh yeah. :)

Paid off ALL of our Credit Card Debt.
    We are now DEBT FREE!
    I seriously wanna celebrate! :)

  • I'll Be The One

New song by Pomplamoose - so cute and romantic! :)

"I'll be the one who brings you coffee when you can't get up
I'll be the one who turns the light out when you go to sleep
I'll be the one who turns your stomach into something else
    And you say
, 'Shut up, shut up', every time I say

I'll be the one who takes your coat off, one to take the blame
I'll be the one you call your lover, every now and then
You'll be the one who keeps me sober, one to keep me sane
    And you say
, 'Shut up, shut up', every time I say it

And I'd cut my fingers to the bone,
And I'd split my sides in for you

    Tonight, we throw ourselves away
And we make it every time
When I thought I was ok
    You said I was alright
As the night comes crashing down
    We catch ourselves a line
    Yeah we're only makin' out
If we make it out alright

I'll be the one who stands beside you in the photograph
I'll be the one that's in your water when you want me there
I'll be the one you're falling over every time you laugh
    And you say
, 'Shut up, shut up', every time I say

I'll be the one who keeps you guessing, who swears a lot
I'll be the one that let your color in the white wash
You'll be the one that knocks the man out I was beating up
    And you say
, 'Shut up, shut up', every time I say it

And you cut my face, I told you so
I'd tear my eyes out for you

    Tonight, we throw ourselves away
And we make it every time
When I thought I was ok
    You said I was alright
As the night comes crashing down
    We catch ourselves a line
    Yeah we're only makin' out
If we make it out alright

And I'd cut my fingers to the bone,
And I'd split my sides in for you

    Tonight, we throw ourselves away
And we make it every time
When I thought I was ok
    You said I was alright
As the night comes crashing down
    We catch ourselves a line
    Yeah we're only makin' out
If we make it out all right"

  • Rain, Broken Promises, Conte & Hunger

    Nothing overly exciting happened today.

    It rained.
    A lot.
    It is also really cold.

I didn't get my new desk.
    Again.
    That's four separate promises broken.
    And it's only Thursday.

My husband loves Jack Conte's voice/music more than mine.

I tried working on portion control today.
    I began counting calories again.
I'm so hungry I could ride a horse.

    Just another Thursday...
Tomorrow: more jeans, more rain, more old people on the phone, more life to be livin'...

  • Burping Babies, Blackmail, Williamsburg and THE TRUTH.

This past weekend we were social.
It is abnormal for us, so you should be proud.
    Applaud us from afar.

Anyway, Saturday we went and saw this family I recently became acquainted with.
This is the lady I went to meet when I was inquiring about a nanny job.
It turned out good that I didn't get it, cause the job I have now has helped nearly pay off all our debt.
    Yay!
We hung out with them and held her brand new 7 lb, 2 week old baby Luke.
I learned how to properly burp a baby.... :)

Then Sunday we drove to Williamsburg, VA.
If you didn't know, Williamsburg is historic like much of Virginia.
It is RIGHT next to Jamestown.
    That's right, the FIRST settlement.
Doesn't get any more historic than that - for America anyway. :)

We went to our friend's church because their kids were singing in this program.
They wrote us the sweetest note - we really couldn't resist.
It was like child blackmail and it worked.

It was an LDS church, so that was a little foreign...
but all in all we were glad we came and supported them and we had a good time.

Afterward Me, Chad, Jeramy and his youngest boy Hayden went and walked around Colonial Williamsburg.
It was really nice and we wanna go back when we have more time.

    Hayden:

    Some old fort:

After that, we met up with the rest of the family at their house and ate homemade tacos and Sopapilla Cheesecake! :)
    SO GOOD!
We played board games and laughed and had a great time.
We are gonna try to go back this weekend...
We also would love to find our next apartments in Williamsburg for our next rotation in February. :)
(Mom, you and dad would have LOVED Williamsburg!)

    Lastly...

We hid a camera in the bedroom to see if Woody would come alive while we were gone...
    This is what was captured...

    What the? Crying?

    Depressed?

    Emotionally exhausted...

    Well there you have it.
Toys don't come to life and dance and sing when we aren't looking.
They don't have a great time, make friends or save the world.
They get lonely, sad, depressed and exhausted.
    Cause they're needy...
    Cause they're toys...
    Now you know.

  • Open Wounds, Killing Germans & BAGS

Healing is definitely a sensitive, and sometimes time consuming process.
Nobody like salt poured in an open wound.
Resolution and healing are the first steps to genuine unity between people.
    It just takes time...
DC Talk knows what I am talking about.
(See lyrics at bottom of post)

I had some pictures I wanted to post.
They are on Chad's phone still waiting to be downloaded.
I would ask him to stop what he is doing and download them...
...but he is killing some Germans right now.
Killing Germans is very crucial for the win.
The pics will have to come later...

    To substitute those pics...
    Today's theme... BAGS! :)
    (Random, I know...)

    LOL :)

I think ONE OF THESE would be fun and efficient at the same time. :)

I also thought this was hilarious.... :)

Hopefully these pictures got you by until tomorrow.
Heck, you may like these better... lol.

    G'night! :)

    - - -

    "Sorrow is a lonely feeling
    Unsettled is a painful place
I've lived with both for far too long now
    Since we've parted ways

I've been wrestling with my conscience
And I found myself to blame
If there's to be any resolution
I've got to peel my pride away

    (chorus)
    Just between you and me
    I've got something' to say
    Wanna get it straight
    Before the sun goes down
    Just between you and me
    Confession needs to be made
Recompense is my way to freedom now
    Just between you and me
    I've got something to say...

If confession is the road to healing
    Forgiveness is the promised land
I'm reaching out in my conviction
    I'm longing to make amends

So, I'm sorry for the words I've spoken
    For I've betrayed a friend
    We've got a love that's worth preserving
And a bond I will defend

    (chorus)
    Just between you and me
    I've got something' to say
    Wanna get it straight
    Before the sun goes down
    Just between you and me
    Confession needs to be made
Recompense is my way to freedom now
    Just between you and me
    I've got something to say..."

  • Hard Questions, Sex = Babies, Yankees and Jose.

Sometimes you have to ask the hard questions and say the hard things.
You may not have the night you looked forward to
But hopefully you at least move forward

I find it very hard to handle when a girl casually informs me she is not keeping her baby.
She already has one, so it's not like her life would change THAT much
She also has a great support system of her mother, other family and the baby's father and his family
    Her reasoning?
She is just not done with the partying phase of her life and she just doesn't want a baby
Guess she should have thought of that before she preformed her baby making acts
    It really bothered me.

I am really glad the Yankees are done being a bunch of jerks.
I get to watch my shows again.
Baseball isn't baseball when one team has the money to buy the World Series. :

I really love that I have a job.
I really hate that I don't get home until 6:30pm.
I feel rushed to make dinner and therefore I lack the freedom to make "Fancy Feasts"
I have a few hours before it's about time for bed again.
The good news is that today I just got a new Supervisor (Jose)who is far more superior to my last one(Yvonne).
It's gonna be much better I can tell. :)

  • Pomplamoose Artsy Time

I bought the Orginal Pomplamoose songs on their website (NOT on iTunes!) and also downloaded the free copy songs.
I noticed on one of their YouTube songs that they are having a T-shirt design contest.
I suddenly felt like creating... :)

It doesn't matter if I win... It really doesn't.
    I had a lot of fun. :D

I took a screen shot from one of their videos on YouTube...
Copied it into my Painter Essentials Software...
Sketched the image on my Wacom Tablet with my digital pen...
Opened the result of that labor into Photoshop...
    Filtered the image a little...
And added a background of grapefruit...(has to do with their name)

    Wha-la!
    My creations:

    Which is your favorite?? :)

  • Gifts, Italian, Zombies, Cake and Gore.

My husband turned 25 this past Sunday.
He may catch up to me eventually.
    We shall see.
    His birthday was great though.
He got to open all his presents early.
This will help balance out any presents that have yet to come.
    **cough cough**
    **ahem ahem**

We went out to eat at Carrabba's.
If you have never been, you need to go.
    Now.
I don't care what your other plans were.
    Go.
IF you like amazing Italian food, that is...
    :)

We then went and saw Zombieland.
    It was funny... :)
The middle was a little slower than I would have thought
    But it was still good.
Don't see it if you don't like gore.
There is one scene where this lady is flying out of her car through the windshield and hits the pavement neck/face first.
    I felt my spine shudder.
    Yikes is right.

We then had cake and ice cream and played Left 4 Dead 2 (more zombie killing - Chad's perfect birthday)
    LOL

    A few pics are below.
More are one Facebook, mostly because I am mad at Xanga for
making their photo uploading tool more difficult - and therefore worse.

Yeah I forgot to take pics at the restaurant...
But this is exactly what I ordered...

and this is what Chad had...

    Both were heavenly. :)
