This past weekend we were social.
It is abnormal for us, so you should be proud.
Applaud us from afar.
Anyway, Saturday we went and saw this family I recently became acquainted with.
This is the lady I went to meet when I was inquiring about a nanny job.
It turned out good that I didn't get it, cause the job I have now has helped nearly pay off all our debt.
Yay!
We hung out with them and held her brand new 7 lb, 2 week old baby Luke.
I learned how to properly burp a baby....
Then Sunday we drove to Williamsburg, VA.
If you didn't know, Williamsburg is historic like much of Virginia.
It is RIGHT next to Jamestown.
That's right, the FIRST settlement.
Doesn't get any more historic than that - for America anyway.
We went to our friend's church because their kids were singing in this program.
They wrote us the sweetest note - we really couldn't resist.
It was like child blackmail and it worked.
It was an LDS church, so that was a little foreign...
but all in all we were glad we came and supported them and we had a good time.
Afterward Me, Chad, Jeramy and his youngest boy Hayden went and walked around Colonial Williamsburg.
It was really nice and we wanna go back when we have more time.
Hayden:
Some old fort:
After that, we met up with the rest of the family at their house and ate homemade tacos and Sopapilla Cheesecake!
SO GOOD!
We played board games and laughed and had a great time.
We are gonna try to go back this weekend...
We also would love to find our next apartments in Williamsburg for our next rotation in February.
(Mom, you and dad would have LOVED Williamsburg!)
Lastly...
We hid a camera in the bedroom to see if Woody would come alive while we were gone...
This is what was captured...
What the? Crying?
Depressed?
Emotionally exhausted...
Well there you have it.
Toys don't come to life and dance and sing when we aren't looking.
They don't have a great time, make friends or save the world.
They get lonely, sad, depressed and exhausted.
Cause they're needy...
Cause they're toys...
Now you know.
